Red, White & Brew: Schell’s Salute to Veterans

Join us Saturday, November 11th, as we come together to honor veterans from all branches on this special Veterans Day!
At 11:11am, the New Ulm Battery will kick off the festivities with a resounding cannon shot, a symbol of our deep appreciation for those who have served.
We’re tapping a limited-edition Pilot Series beer at 11am that you won’t want to miss. This special release, crafted by veterans right here at Schell’s, is a medium-full body dark and smooth Espresso Stout blended with cold brewed Sumatra coffee. It offers a rich palate of roasted malts, chocolate, and Sumatra coffee beans, providing a delightful aroma with a lingering dark chocolate note in the finish. We’ve named it “De Espresso Libeer,” in tribute to the Green Berets’ motto, “De Oppresso Liber.” With an ABV of 6.0%, it’s a brew worth raising a glass to.
Bring the kiddos along because we’ve got a National Guard climbing wall on-site, promising fun for all ages. Plus, we’ll be displaying military outfits, paying homage to the brave men and women who have served.
As a token of our appreciation, veterans can enjoy special clothing discounts. It’s our way of saying thank you for your service.

It was awesome going through the tour, and the tasting room was a very comfortable place to try very fresh beers as well as some new ones. Sue, our tour guide was great and did a fantastic job showing us around. I would definitely do this tour again and highly recommend checking it out!!
Incredible beer, friendly staff, beautiful facility. Wish we came the day before on Sunday, as the biergarten had live music. Definitely coming back when we visit next year!
Historical and beautiful brewery. A must see if you are in New Ulm. There is something here for everyone even if you aren’t a beer drinker.
Fantastic experience! My co-workers and I went on the brewery tour for only $10. Included samples at the end, along with a complimentary glass. Highly recommended if you love beer!
Been coming here for years. Always love this place. Although I prefer it in the late spring, when the flowers are blooming and the peacocks are out. The beer is as good as you can imagine and the atmosphere is even better. The staff is fantastic and I'll keep going back!
